It was a tribute to João Almeida‘s achievements in cycling, particularly his impressive 3rd place finish at the 2023 Giro d’Italia, including a stage win and the young rider classification (maglia bianca).

It consisted of races for different age groups and genders, promoting youth participation in cycling.

The event was organized by the Associação Escola de Ciclismo do Oeste and the Junta de Freguesia de A-dos-Francos.
